The boat features 11 cabins and 3 decks with both outside and inside dining areas. Each cabin is beautifully decorated in a traditional style and equipped with modern amenities for a comfortable stay. Large sea view windows allow you to enjoy the fantastic landscape outside, from the comfort of your room. The sundeck on top will be a great place to view the bay at sunset and have an enjoyable time with your friends.
Whether you are dining in the restaurant, lounging on one of the 2 sundecks or relaxing in the comfort of your cabin, you will be surrounded by the handcrafted teak and oak fittings that make the Dragon’s Pearl such a wonderful sailing vessel.
Like all the other boats of Indochina Junk’s fleet, Dragon’s Pearl Junk provides an off the beaten track cruise experience to Bai Tu Long Bay with many interesting activities. Our crew works hard to ensure you are completely satisfied until the last second of your trip.

We are just back from our 2N 3D tour of Bai Tu Long Bay (within/adjacent to Halong Bay) on Indochina Dragon Pearl Junk (number one). We had a fantastic trip of a lifetime. Indochina have a licence as one of the few providers permitted to sail in Bai Tu Long Bay which is just as spectacular as Halong Bay but far less crowded with tourist boats. The boat is beautiful, the facilities exceptional and very comfortable. The food is wonderful and the trips engaging and fun. We experienced kayaking, swimming, visited an amazing cave, visiting a floating fishing village and pearl farm. We also had a delicious seven course BBQ lunch on a stunning beach. This has been the highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Don't hesitate to book onto the Dragon Pearl. I hope that one day I can go again.
My partner and I attended the Dragon Pearl 3N 2D cruise. We were picked up in a limo bus which was super comfy, had a few stop offs at a gallery and water puppet show to break it up. The our private quarters was small- but cosy, clean and comfortable!! Our guide, Coco was great. Cheeky and knowledgeable. We were fed 3x a day, lots and lots of delicious Viet cuisine. Our chef, “Chicken” was amazing!! Staff were lovely and polite. Spent time lazing around, drinking cocktails and kayaking. I’d say this experience was more for couples/ groups of adult friends than for families with young children. Overall we had the best time, relaxing and taking in the scenery!! Highly recommend!
Trip was very well organised, from pick up at hotel to daily activities while on board. Food during the trip was great, with a great range of different local foods. Expect multiple courses for all meals of the day. The boat was a nice size, and well presented, exactly what was expected. Choosing to go on a small ship was great, with a relaxed low key feel between passengers. The views in the bay were great, and not some thing I had seen anywhere else. There are other tourist junks about, but for the most they are only seen from a distance, and when the boats anchor for the night, in a spread out group.
I went on this boat trip with three friends for one night and two days. We had an amazing time and got to see the most beautiful parts of Bai tu long bay. We also got to swim, visit a cave and kayak. The food throughout the whole trip was delicious with even 8 meals at a time. The cabins are spacious and comfortable and our guide, seven, was extremely friendly. This was definitely the best way to explore the bay and Bai tu long was the right decision for the less touristy parts.
Our tour guide was called JD. Within 5 minutes of meeting him he knew the 18 passenger names and knew my husband Dave was missing! Impressive memory and name recognition. I was with a group of 6 friends. From our cabins to our meals to our visits to the caves and fishing village we were never bored. They serve a mean cocktail and make available water to fill our water bottles - - nice environmentally friendly touch. The BBQ was fun and kayaking around the rocks were special. One minor change - - coffee at lunch would just add to your special touch. JD you deserve a platinum star for making our vacation special. Thanks Anne and Dave
